PUSH ADVERT. AT PUSH ADVERT WE TEACH

Online promotion is a necessity for almost any business these days. If you are a new business, or one with a low advertising budget, navigating the many options available to you can be daunting, especially when you are also concentrating on other day-to-day business needs. However, major search engines, social media, and advertising services have made it easy to promote your business online. In many cases, services are free or low-cost. Give your customers what they want by having a sound presence online.

WESITE

Create a website. A visible online business presence requires having a website that users can visit for information. Luckily, you don’t have to be an experienced web developer to create a website for your business.[1] •Many services (such as Wordpress and Wix) make it easy for you to set up a business website using simple, guided steps.

•Google has partnered with local business services through the Get Your Business Online (GYBO) program to help businesses create websites and promote themselves online in other ways.[2]

•You can also work with a company (such as Go Daddy) to purchase a website domain name. Many of these company also offer services to help you build the website, or will create one for you. These services usually have a low monthly fee.

•Try to make your website’s domain name one that matches your business name, or, if that is not possible, one that describes what products or services it offers.

Build content on your website.

Once you’ve created a basic website, you should start filling it with useful information. Think about what potential customers would like to know about your business, and make sure that the information is easy to find. You can include:[4] •Location

•Hours of operation

•Contact information (telephone, email, etc.)

•Information about products and services that your business offers

•Descriptions of any special offers

•Your business logo, prominently featured

•The history of your business

•Testimonies or reviews from past clients/customers

Share your URL.

You want every customer to be able to find your website easily. While search engines can make this possible, you should also seize every opportunity to share your website’s address (URL). Print it on business cards, invoices, brochures, promotional materials, etc. [5]

Choose a blogging service.

Many companies also like to share information with customers by writing and posting regular news, stories, and offers online. You can incorporate a blog into your website using help from a website set-up service or program. You can also create a blog on a separate website with help from a blogging service, such as:[6] •Blogger

•Wordpress

•Tumblr

Blog regularly.

Blogs can be used to show the world what your business offers or cares about. The important thing is to update frequently—if your blog hasn’t had new content in a while, people might think that your company not active. On the other hand, avoid updating your blog so frequently that subscribers are annoyed with the inundation of information.[7] •It is a good idea to create a backlog of content that is ready to go up on your blog at any time. That way, if you are too busy to create content from scratch, you can pull something from this pool of material.

•List posts (Like “Top 10 Customer Favorites”) or roundups (“Highlights of 2015”) can be created quickly, and will pull users deeper into your blog, if you link to older blog posts or other areas of your website.[8]

•Make your blog content shareable. Most blogging services already have this feature built in. This allows users to repost your content on their own websites or blogs, easily promoting your business more widely.[9]

Learn about Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

If you are serious about promoting your business online, you will want to learn how to maximize opportunities for users to interact with your online content and site(s) through major search engines (such as Google, Yahoo!, and Bing). You can learn more about this technique, called SEO, by reading tips online, or taking an online or in-person course. Marketing companies can also work with your business on SEO matters.[10]

Make your website mobile-friendly.

An increasing amount of online traffic comes from users of mobile devices. To make websites easier to read (and less taxing on users’ data plans), they should be optimized for smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices. Some website services and programs incorporate mobile optimization automatically, but you should frequently view your website on a variety of devices to make sure that it is user-friendly.[11]

Promote your business using a variety of social media.

Many potential customers are on social media, and your business should have a presence there, too. That way, you will maximize the number of opportunities to share information about your business and to connect with the public. There are many social media services available that you can sign up with, and each one has distinct features. Major services include: •Facebook

•Twitter

•Instagram

•Pinterest

•YouTube

•LinkedIn

•Google Plus

•Foursquare

Use the social media that make most sense for your business.

You don’t have to spread yourself too thin by trying to be active on all social media. Make sure you have a presence on the largest services, and then tailor your online presence with more specific ones. For instance, a restaurant may definitely want to have a Facebook account, but it may then be more important for it to have a presence on services like Yelp and Open table rather than an Instagram account.[12] •Make sure that your social media profiles link back to your website, to make it easy for customers to find it.[13]

Network with customers and other businesses.

LinkedIn is probably the most popular social networking service for professionals and businesses, but all social media offer ways to connect with customers. Make sure that you are connecting with customers, vendors, and even competitors on all of your social media accounts.[14

Respond to people on social media.

Take the time to connect you’re your customers via social media. For instance, if a customer says something great about your company, repost, “like,” or “favorite” the comment. Likewise, if a customer asks a question, answer it online. Your customers will appreciate the attention and feeling like they can reach out to your business.[15]

Post multimedia content.

Online promotion provides lots of opportunities to share information about your company in audio-visual formats. You can post material both on your own website and via social media services like YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, Vimeo, and Flicker. Content might include commercials, promotional videos, and photos of your products, projects, services, etc. [16]

Use social media for press releases.

Customers spend lots of time on social media, and you will want to connect with them meaningfully. Anytime your business has notable news (a new product, a special offer, an award, an event, a contest, etc.), post something about it on every social media service it uses. [17]

Decide how you want to advertise your business online.

In addition to a website and social media content, you can promote your business by placing ads on other content. The process of creating and placing advertisements online has been streamlined by search engine and social media companies. Look into their services for business to find out more about options like: •Banner ads that display across websites that users visit.[18]

•Pay per click (PPC) advertising, which generates revenue when users click on sponsored links to or ads for your content while browsing online.[19]

•Google AdWords, which offers PPC and other advertising options.[20]

•Ads placed in social media, such as Facebook and Twitter.

Register with location listing services. Major search engines have services to make it easier for your business to be found by browsing customers using maps and other location-oriented tools. Typically, all you have to is register and the service will verify your business. Common services of this type include: [21] •Google Places

•Yahoo! Local

•Bing

PUSH -ADVERT we want you succeed by Learning

Entrepreneurship can be a lonely game.  The road to business success, both online and offline, is a long and bumpy one, often littered with pitfalls before success comes knocking.
You need to be willing to spend long hours learning and applying new information when you’d rather be spending time having fun with family and friends. It can take several attempts and wrong turns before you hit on the right business model that not only works but also fits in with your life plan, vision and goals.
The truth is, once you decide to leave the safety net of your day job to build your own business, you are stepping onto a crazy rollercoaster ride.

Amongst all the fun and excitement of being your own boss, there will be days when you feel scared, alone and confused.
Deals you were banking on fall through. People you thought you could trust let you down. Products you thought would be home-runs, flop embarrassingly.
During tough times like these there isn’t much you can do, other than keep the faith and keep going.
I’m a great believer that being in business involves mastering the inner game of self and the outer game of business.
Having a success mindset is essential, possibly even more important than business acumen alone.
That’s why I am such a fan of motivational and inspirational quotes. They keep me focused and positive, even when things are not going to plan.

Here are my top 50 motivational quotes for business, success and life.

1. Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway. ~ John Wayne
2. If you don’t make things happen then things will happen to you. ~ Robert Collier
3. A business has to be involving, it has to be fun, and it has to exercise your creative instincts. ~ Richard Branson
4. Live daringly, boldly, fearlessly. Taste the relish to be found in competition – in having put forth the best within you. ~ Henry J. Kaiser
5. Winning is not a sometime thing; it’s an all time thing. You don’t win once in a while, you don’t do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time.Winning is habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. ~ Vince Lombardi
6. You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win. ~ Zig Ziglar

Nigeria’s Shi’ite and a ticking time bomb

El-Zakzaky, the leader of the Iranian-backed Islamic Movement in Nigeria, was arrested over the course of a few fateful days in Zaria when hundreds of his followers were killed in clashes with the Nigerian military. To the military, Zakzaky is a dangerous preacher and a threat to the integrity and unity of Nigeria. To his followers, he is a spiritual and political leader to whom they swear allegiance above all others.

With roots in what has in recent times been regarded as the holy Shi’ite town of Zaria, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky is the fifth born of his father. At the age of fifteen, he joined Fata Provincial Arabic School, Zaria, established by the then native authority (N.A.) for primary training of Arabic teachers. Due to his exceptional talent, he is recorded as having finished in two years instead of the usual four. He then proceeded to the School of Arabic Studies (AAS) in Kano, from 1971 – 1976 and obtained the ‘Grade II’ Certificate.

Following the completion of his school studies, he attended the GCE A-Level Private from where he proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria. He studied B.Sc. Economics and graduated with a first class degree in 1979. The degree was denied to him by the university authorities due to his Islamic activities.

On the side of his Islamic education, he furthered his studies from various local ulamas (scholars) who included Mallam Sani Abdulkadir, Mallam Isa Madaka, Mallam Sani (Deputy Imam of Zaria Central Mosque) and Mallam Ibrahim Kakaki. While he was in Kano, he studied at the hawza (religious seminary) of Sheikh Nasir Kapara. He is also a hafiz of Quran and until the time of his recent arrest, he has been in full time research studies in various aspects of Islam.
Presently, he has spent almost 18 years in dawah, calling for a total establishment of Islam. His followers say that for this reason, he has encountered atrocities by every regime in Nigeria, both civilian and military.

El-Zakyzaky began propagating Shi’ite Islam around 1979, at the time of the Iranian revolution, which saw Iran’s monarchy overthrown and replaced with an Islamic Republic under Ayatollah Khomeini. Zakzaky believed that the establishment of a republic along similar religious lines in Nigeria would be feasible. He has been detained several times due to accusations of civil disobedience under military regimes in Nigeria during the 1980s and 1990s. He has been to various prisons across the country which include Sokoto, Enugu, Kaduna, Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and presently in Kaduna.

El-Zakzaky lived in Kwarbai quarters in Zaria City before his recent arrest. He is married to Zeenah and has six children. He is the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria and insists in this interview with WDNews that he has never advocated violence in any form, despite the violence suffered by himself and his estimated 3 million supporters.

WDNews: Is the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) otherwise known as Shi’ites, a sect, a violent group…?
Sheikh El-Zakyzaky: (cuts in) No, we are none of these things you have mentioned, the goal of the Islamic movement is to enlighten the Muslims as to their duties as individuals and as a community. A violent group cannot own more than The movement owns more than five hundred primary/secondary schools located in different parts of the country. You need to attend our Fudiyyah Schools and then judge for yourselves. This is in addition to many Islamic centers and other institutions that go as far as teaching what you may term as Western Education. We also own the nation’s most widely circulated newspaper, Al Mizan, in the Hausa language.

I must say this, I believe that all the names you presume us to be, are from persons that are just afraid of us for no reason. We will never, and not and will never engage in any form of crime to meet any of our aims.

Even when my sons were killed by the authorities, and the genocide committed against my people we remained a peaceful Movement, with enlightened and responsible people as members In almost forty years, we have not had course to resort to violence.

WDNews: The Sultan has subtly warned that there is a tendency for radicalization of your group members?
Sheikh El-Zakyzaky: In all that we do, the crux of the matter is we have conducted ourselves in the most civilized manner and cannot in any way derail from that track record and engage in any form of crime or violence. I think that in itself creates fear. The fear should be that those in power have remained careless about the welfare of their citizens, and crime has become a reoccurring decimal in the country and the IMN condemns all forms of crimes and preaches against them as a religious body.

WDNews: Your clashes with the military and authorities have been widely reported, you lost your sons in one of such clashes.
Sheikh El-Zakyzaky: I had said before my arrest that no matter the government there will be no change, they will only continue to threaten – you will do this, you will do that. And I have never been frightened or been afraid, I am not the problem of Nigeria, or the army, the problem is the lack of welfare by the Nigerian state.

WDNews: In Zaria, you are feared and many accuse you of running a state within a state…?

Sheikh El-Zakyzaky: In Zaria, and anywhere all I have been doing trying to get people to know that they are being cheated, being used, and oppressed, all arms of the government have failed. And when they see that someone is trying to fill the gap they have left, they feel threatened. When a government can kill, arrest, and detain without trial or even a charge, you expect that they will induce people to say all sorts of things.  Let me at this point state that I have never seen myself as leader of a sect, or the Islamic movement as a sect. All I have done is to fight the injustice of the system that Nigeria is.
WDNews: What is the way forward…for example many people have accused your members of carrying arms?
Sheikh El-Zakyzaky: Justice, all we are asking for is justice, you just put me in detention, you are only fanning the embers, and the truth is for how long, our schools and properties are being destroyed, the authorities I am aware are still sending corpses of my members. If we carried arms, it would have been a different case, we would not have this opportunity to talk. Why is it that we carry arms and each time we are the ones that suffer the casualties?

El-Zakyzaky’s Shi’ites in Nigeria

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria is believed to be around anything between three and five million members, beyond being their leader, he is charismatic, and well loved, commanding a followership that is willing to die for him. Security sources inside government believe that for the President, this is a test of strength and power. There is a history between both men, with Buhari’s convoy once alleged to have been pelted with stones in the city of Zaria during one of his political campaigns in the past, apart from other encounters when he was a military leader.

A top government functionary told WDNews “the Sheikh is not a fan of Buhari, and the President has never hidden his disdain for the man, this is one complex case.”

Another source told WDNews “Buhari will not order his release and does not care of the consequences. As this is equally a case of might between two doctrinal powerhouse of Islam, Saudiya and Iran.

Zaria without him

But Saidu Ahmed says “Zaria is more peaceful without him, I know there is freedom of worship or religion in Nigeria but with him, there was a fear factor in Zaria, he had his own army, his own school, even flag etc.”
It is also a twist because several persons say with his absence crime rate in Zaria has become a problem, and it is the peace of the grave, Saidu sums it up this way, “If anything happens to him, I can tell you Zaria would burn.

Commissions and Panels
The Kaduna State instituted panel has suffered several adjournments as a result of the refusal of the Movement to make a case, While the panel argues that the Movement was a body different from the Sheikh.
The Movement insists that it would not appear unless her leader was released. In the course of this report, a top member of the panel told WDNews that they had met with the Sheikh who gave his approval for the panel.

This however is an assertion that Ibrahim Musa and Nusaiba Ibrahim Zakzaky, daughter of the Sheikh say is false.
His daughter told WDNews that her father who was shot several times alongside their mom before he was taken away by the military, is only believe to be in the custody of the Department State Security Service (DSS), and till date nothing has been heard of him.

Ibrahim Musa, spokesperson for the movement who was initial thought to have been killed during the clash told WDNews that about 200 of their members were being held at Kaduna’s central prison in northern Nigeria, and several have already died.

“Sadly what we do not know is the current state of health of our leader, and one thing we know is that the current administration is out to prove a point against us.

When WDNews asked why they had refused to appear before any of the panels set up either by the Kaduna State government, federal or military authorities, Musa said, “It was obvious that all the panels were prejudiced, already the country’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has accused us of being violent and trying to create “a state within a state.”

Brigadier-General Rabe Abubakar, Nigeria’s defense spokesman, in comments monitored by WDNews while doing this exclusive had told a medium that “It would not be appropriate to comment on Zakzaky’s detention or the forthcoming trial before the Kaduna inquiry was complete, but did say that the military had submitted itself to investigation since “we have nothing to hide.”

When WDNews reached out to Khadijah Hawaja Gambo, a member of the Federal Government Commission, she said she could not comment as she was a member of the Commission, but that she continues to maintain an objective stance. She said the Commission was still sitting and will do the right thing.

What remains to be seen in this unfolding drama is what exactly is the right thing, indeed what is the right thing defers from one person to another. Is the Nigerian government right in keeping the scholar, amidst growing protests in few states in the North, and Nigeria, or the sheikh is a menace to the society that needs to be tamed are some of the questions only few can really answer.

Danger

But experts believe that there is danger, especially given the history of Boko Haram and how it’s founder Mohammed Yusuf was killed. Ali Ibraheem in Zaria (not real names) tells WDNews “If anything happens to our leader, I cannot honestly tell you what will happen.” Infact he won’t die, it is not something we should think of, he added.

However, Ibrahim Musa, who is President of the Media Forum of the Movement is a bit pensive in his response, “In shaa Allah nothing will happen to him, but I am sure if anything happens we have a council of scholars that will direct us on what action to take.”

WDNews resident security expert also notes that “we may be toying with a new group being currently radicalized as a result of the continued detention of her leader.”

We are all witnesses of the trajectory of the Boko Haram story from Mohammed Yusuf to the fall out today, the current scenario is not too different, the government needs to thread with caution. We still lack the intelligence to track “possible terrorism and cases of radicalization at the root.”..

End fuel scarcity now, Lagos Assembly urges Buhari

In the wake of the fuel scarcity that is biting very hard and inflicting untold hardship on Nigerians, the Lagos State House of Assembly has on Tuesday urged President Muhammadu Buhari to address the lingering fuel scarcity that has paralysed economic activities in the country. The call followed a motion raised by the Majority Leader of the House, Mr. Sanai Agunbiade and seconded by Mr. Segun Olulade, the Chairman, House Committee on Health, under matter of public urgent importance.
lagos-state-house-of-assembly1Agunbiade said a lot of workers were lamenting over gridlock caused by fuel queues.
“In Lagos, every minute counts. Many workers now get queries for coming late to work. People now store petrol at homes. Prices of goods and commodities are high, and fares have increased. The President should address the issue of fuel scarcity and deal with everyone involved,” he said.
Olulade, on his part, said: “A lot of people are facing serious hardship; we have hospitals that cannot provide electricity in case of emergency because of scarcity. The President should address the issue quickly.”
Contributing, Mr. Tunde Braimoh, the Chairman, House Committee on Information, Strategy and Security, described the situation as ‘’embarrassing’’, saying that the President has all it takes to salvage the situation.
Also, Mr Yinka Ogundimu, the Chairman, House Committee on Finance, said all agencies in Lagos were overstretched and a lot of time was wasted queuing for fuel.“We should call on the President to come up with immediate solution,” he said.
The Speaker of the House, Mr Mudashiru Obasa, said it was not necessary to start apportioning blames or identifying scapegoats, but the Federal Government should find a lasting solution to the problem.”I saw people carrying kegs all over the city and I understand that some of them sleep at filling stations. The roads from my house were deserted as I was coming to the office and this is a bad signal. Mr. President should look for a solution; we should not look at the past or blame the Petroleum Minister for what he said recently since he has apologised. We must take action now.
“Whatever it is, our people should get fuel to move around for their businesses. We must avoid whatever can lead to angry mobs. It is becoming so unbearable and it must not be allowed,” he said. The Speaker directed the Clerk of the House, Mr Ganiu Abiru, to write a letter to the President to find a lasting solution to the problem and make fuel available in Lagos State.
The House said that the President should address the people on the situation and appealed to residents to be calm until a solution was found to the problem. It also called on Buhari to direct all the necessary Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) that have direct connections with the distribution of fuel to help the masses by curbing the hardship.
The lawmakers said that special attention should be given to Lagos State as the economic nerve centre of the nation as many workers now sleep at filling stations. The House also called on Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode to direct the necessary agencies in the state to effectively control gridlock occasioned by scarcity. It noted that the indiscriminate queuing at filling stations had affected traffic flow and many people were getting to their offices late.

PDP: LEADERSHIP FOR SURVIVAL

PDP: LEADERSHIP FOR SURVIVAL
By Kachi Samuels
As a contemporary political party established in 1989, PDP has consistently produced leaders in the highest political offices of the country for a period of sixteen years. However, the Party itself has never really had an experienced, educated and liberal outward looking man/woman to pilot its affairs. The present National Chairman the Party has, by some happenstance spewed out in the last month, and appears to fit the bill.
Casual observers and political history students will all agree that the major political ruling Party in Nigeria has been somewhat unfortunate in its choices of internal Party leaders over the years. The present hostilities within the Party, uncertain Party affixations of card carrying members, the betrayals, backstabbing and general decay within this crumbling political giant can all be directly attributed to the internal leadership of the Party.
Yes, it is a political Party, but it’s also an organisation and should position itself as such, in this present age. Senator Ali Modu Sheriff has the capacity to pull the crumbling giant together and mould tit into a semblance of what it once was, he is uniquely qualified to make the Party greater than originally created.
Senator Sheriff has already demonstrated  his remarkable ability by bring various founding fathers to the table and he has united some bickering factors, through his inert ability to disarm and to direct without appearing dictatorial pushy or overbearing, a tick he must have acquired as a student of Insurance Banking and Finance in London Business School.
By virtue of family background, one would expect the Honourable Senator and former Governor to be stuffy, arrogant and unapproachable; the reverse is the case in this particular instance. I have watched the distinguished Senator relate with ordinary Nigerian as equals and I have seen him take personal interest in lives. This trait is sure to bring millions of Nigerians to the big umbrella.
Senator Sheriff is well versed in politics and political administration, as two time Governor and a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he has more than enough experience and political wherewithal to provide the leadership PDP needs. He is not cowed by the political intimidations of the present administration, as he responds directly to President Buhari`s caterwauling. Ali Modu Sheriff is political astute, connected and motivated to bring-in the needed results for PDP.
The various organs of PDP should endeavour to pull their heads out of their nether-regions and rally around Ali Modu Sheriff, they should grow-up and put the common good of the Party first for once!!.How be it that every political elite in PDP is shimmering with short sighted political selfishness? When did it become normal and acceptable to pick, use and discard people? What calibre of humans cooked up the idea of a three months National Chairman whose job is to clear up old Party debts, refurbish dilapidated Party offices and pay back -logged staff salaries from personal accounts, organise a hitch-free National Convention for the Party and then fade-off into the sunset, like a good little boy. Where is the heralded PDP fairness?
The recent selection of leadership of various commit tasked with the Organisation of the National Convention, is further indication of Sen Sheriff`s ability to handle the affairs of PDP, why not give him a chance? Why listen to a section of the media bought and paid for to speculate and engender disunity within the PDP fold. As of today if an election is to be conducted between APC and PDP, PDP will still lose because they are fighting at cross purposes and as such, they do not constitute a competition to the present ruling Party. This fact is well known to the incumbent ruling Party, which is why they keep fighting tooth and nail to make certain PDP continues to chase its own tail.
Senator Ali Modu Sheriff should be given a chance to stabilize the Party and it must necessarily require a little over a three month time frame, his work thus far; attests to a strong ability to reconstruct and reunite the Party. So, what if he wants to contest for the presidential ticket in 2019, good I say, let him via for the ticket with others of like mind; the more the merrier.

Senator Ali Modu Sheriff is what PDP needs to resuscitate itself because if the People’s Democratic Party fails in 2019, they would have failed the Nigerians for the last time and they might not survive to try again.
